#SalesforceSummer23 – Creating New Processes Using Process Builder is Disabled

#1MinuteTip #SalesforceSummer23 To take the next step toward retiring Process Builder processes, you can no longer create new processes. You can still activate, deactivate, and edit your existing Process Builder processes and continue to create automations in Flow Builder. Most Process Builder use cases are now supported in and work better in Flow.

To test and create processes for use in managed packages, developer orgs still allow you to create processes.

#SalesforceSummer23 – Enable Search in Data Table in Salesforce Flow

#1MinuteTip #SalesforceSummer23 Now users can search and filter their Data Table record results. The search returns the first 1,500 items. Initially, 200 records display. As you scroll through the results, additional records load progressively in groups of 100. The search results also show the number of items displayed and the total number of items found.

Salesforce Flows – 29 Features Introduced in Summer ’23 Release

Salesforce Flows Summer '23 Features

Here is a presentation with screenshots on what’s latest and greatest in Salesforce Flows in Summer ’23 release. To make it easier for you to understand these new features and enhancements, we have created a presentation with screenshots and link to the related Summer ’23 release note articles.

And here is our top pick from these enhancements:

#SalesforceSummer23 – Use Email Templates Directly in Salesforce Flows

#1MinuteTip #SalesforceSummer23 Another of my favorite features in Summer ’23 release. You can now use Lightning and Classic email templates directly in Flows in the Send Email action.

If your email template has merge fields, you can use the recipient record or a related record to populate the merge fields. Or, you can use both.

Previously, you couldn’t use email templates directly in Salesforce Flows and needed to create “Email Alerts” to use email templates.

#SalesforceSummer23 – Log Emails Sent with the Send Email Action in Flow

#1MinuteTip #SalesforceSummer23 Now you can automatically log emails to a record’s Activity Timeline when using the Send Email action in Salesforce Flow. Personally, this is one of my favorite features introduced in Summer ’23 Release.

You can log an email to a recipient record, which includes leads, contacts, and person accounts. You can also log an email to a non-recipient record, like an account or opportunity. Or, you can log an email to both. Previously, emails sent using the Send Email action couldn’t be automatically tracked in Activity Timelines.

Use this feature to automatically store the history of all communications sent out to customers using Flows, which in turn will help you enhance your customer 360-degree view.
