To use Copilot, click the Einstein icon in the top right corner. Once activated, you can ask it any question in plain language. In the example below, I asked Einstein Copilot to summarize the account Edge Communications for me.

When you ask a question to Einstein Copilot it looks at its actions to determine which action(s) to use, to do what the user is asking it to do. These actions can be standard actions or custom actions.

Think of them as building blocks that allow you to extend Copilot’s functionalities to address your specific business needs within Salesforce. You create custom actions by leveraging existing functionalities within Salesforce. This can involve:
- Apex: Write custom code using Apex, a powerful programming language for Salesforce, to define specific tasks you want Copilot to perform.
