#SalesforceSummer24 – Build Flows More Easily with Auto-Generated Element Names

#1MinuteTip #SalesforceSummer24 Now when you add an element to your flow while in Auto-Layout mode, a value in the Label is generated automatically. Flow Builder also selects that label so you can easily edit the generated value.

This change applies to all elements except Screens. For Decision and Wait elements, paths are also named automatically. Salesforce also updated the panel headings to be consistent across elements when editing.

  1. Honestly I’ve found this feature completely irritating. When you tab across it does not autofill the API name with the label you have added – it’s adding work. Does anyone have a better method than double clicking into the API name and editing?

    1. Hi Jess, Looks like you wish has been granted and Salesforce has removed this feature. I no longer see the Label & API names getting populated automatically. 🙂
