Salesforce introduced an integrated philanthropic approach called the 1-1-1 model. In simple terms this model means that every year Salesforce donates 1% of the company’s product, equity and time to improve communities around the world. A noble idea indeed and many organisations have started following the suit.
But you don’t have to be an organisation to be able to follow this model. As an individual Salesforce professional, you can also adopt this model by volunteering your time to help non-profits with their Salesforce requirements. This will not only help these organisations but will also help you in honing your Salesforce skills. And then the “feel good” factor of helping someone will be like icing on the cake.
