Jitterbit Data Loader – A Step By Step Guide to Loading Data in Salesforce

Learn How To Mass Insert, Update or Delete Data in Salesforce in less than 45 Minutes

JitterBit Data Loader

One of my favorite tools for loading data in Salesforce is Jitterbit Data Loader. It is a free data migration tool offered by Jitterbit that is available for both Windows and Mac operating systems.

This tool is intuitive, fast and user friendly. You can connect to any file stored locally on your machine or stored in the cloud. Or connect to another database directly usig ODBC/JDBC. Any Salesforce Admin or Developer can easily perform no-code integration with other systems using this tool. It offers a wizard like UI with drag and drop field mappings and integration.

You can schedule and automate the import/export of data from flat files, databases to Salesforce / force.com. The supported functions are Query, Insert, Update, Upsert, Delete and Bulk Process. And once you created a job, it can be reused to execute on any Salesforce Org – a feature that I sorely miss in Salesforce Data Loader

If you are an admin, having familiarity with a data loader tool can be quite useful. You can mass upload, update or delete data in your Salesforce org  if and whenever required. Follow this guide and within next 45 minutes, you will have a pretty good understanding of how load data in Salesforce using Jitterbit.
